Infrastructure
Plots and Construction: Approximately 70 plots have been allotted to IT companies. Currently, 18 companies are operational, and 25 more have premises under construction. Over 50 lakh sq. ft. of area is being developed.
Modern Facilities: When completed, Mohali IT City will offer ready-to-use office spaces, high-speed internet connectivity, excellent road and air connectivity, and other essential amenities for IT operations.
Employment Opportunities
Job Creation: An estimated 50,000 IT professionals will be employed in the IT City over the next 2-3 years. This significant job creation will help reduce unemployment and retain local talent.
Economic Growth
Investment Figures: IT companies have already invested INR 2,000 crores, with an additional INR 3,000 crores in the pipeline. This investment will boost local economic growth through increased tax revenues and stimulation of ancillary industries.
